“In A Room” originated through collaboration. Over the first months of quarantine, the choreographer/dancer, Ellexis Hatch, and I spoke about the feeling of isolation that accompanied being alone in our rooms, only being about to reach out through technology. To communicate the intimacy of only being with your thoughts, we created this composition to follow the emotional journey of finding inspiration and creativity in solitude.
